The funny duo Trey Parker & Matt Stone  who brought to life the crazy world of South Park.  Is now releasing their puppet-comedy film TEAM AMERICAN: WORLD POLICE  to dvd this week. The duo took some time to chat with Hollywoodfyi.com.

Pingel: What was your inspiration to do Team America?

Trey: We where sitting around bored one day!  It's funny people keep asking what are we going to do now and we keep saying we're going to get bored, because we have been working our ass off for the last 2½ years and we haven't been bored. It's always out of boredom cool things come to us.

Trey: We where bored one day because we where in-between South Parks and we where watching TV and Thunderbirds came on. We both kind of had the same reaction which was we kind of could remember it, we couldn't say what it was and we really count' remember because we really weren't fans but remember seeing it as kids. We sat there say "This is cool,  look at this this is all real."  Specially from today's perspective where everything is  CG.  People where saying serious lines and walking away and we where laughing our asses off, "Dude this is comedy gold."   We kept watching we said "this is an hour long I'm bored to death"

Pingel: Did you use a lot of CG in Team America?

Matt:  One thing Team America is the anti-CG.  Everything you see in the film is what we did on set.  We had to time things, we did not do allot of composting or any of that stuff, there is a little bit on the computer and that's it.  We really wanted to be like here is what we shot.  We watch CG movies now days and like it's all fucking fake.

Both: Only Sean Penn.

Trey:  He was dumb enough and bitter enough to actually put something down on paper.  But everyone else seemed to get it.  Matt Damon love it, I'm sure Clooney was cool about it.  They get it, it's a puppet movie.

The amazing thing, people like Sean Penn and the people who really hated the movie far and way are always on the far left. Because the people on the far left, their reactions was 'How dare you. You had a chance to two weeks before the election, you had a chance to get George Bush out of office and you didn't do it.'

Trey:  We make Puppet movies!!!! That what really Sean Penn's letter if you read it.  What he is saying "Do you realize what you are going to do? Get George Bush re-elected."  We're just like...No we're not first of all and second of all, that's not what we are here to do and either should you be, but your an actor.

Pingel: I got to ask...I hear you added on two scenes to the Puppet Sex.

Trey: The two new shots are the bodily fluids.  Those we shot pacifically to give to the MPA to give them something to cut.  This is not our invention, Quentin Tarantino does it ...everyone does it. Give them more  so you can keep that you really want.  Those two shots is what we did, but the end of the day I thought they were quite funny.  That is when you go HOLLY FUCKING SHIT...I can't believe that!

What's your favorite part of the film?
Matt:  Our favorite parts of this movie, and we laugh all the time shooting it, was one puppet just looked at another puppet.

Pingel:  What's next for you guys?

Both:  Vacation.

Matt: We are on vacation until October for the South Park run.  I'm getting drunk now until October!
