Children of Dune the new epic mini-series directed by Greg Yaitanes is the follow up to the SciFi's Emmy Award winning Frank Herbert's Dune.  The new mini-series is based on Herbert's second and third books in the Dune Chronicles.

The mini-series has Academy Award winner, Susan Sarandon center stage as the evil doer Princess Wensicia.   But how did she come to be apart of "Dune"? I just happened that Sarandon was co-hosting USA Network's broadcast of the annual Greenwich Village Halloween Parade in New York City. One of the floats was of the Dune worm. "I love those books!" she gushed.  And the rest was dust!

Children of the Dune is filled with spectacular costumes and eye-popping special effects.  Both bring this world set the year 10191 to life.    Ernest D. Farino who won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Effects for Frank Herbert's Dune is back working his special effects magic for newest miniseries and father/son team of Academy Award-winning Costume Designer THEODOR PISTEK (Amadeus) and JAN PISTEK also return to dressed the cast in incredible costumes.

Frank Herbert's Children of Dune will be shown in three consecutive nights, starting Sunday, March 16 and continues on March 17 & 18th on the cable SciFi.
