Everything went wild on Hollywood Boulevard as Universal Studios Home Video celebrated the release of National Lampoon's Animal House: Double Secret Probation Edition onto DVD out in stores Tuesday, August 26th. 

The event also marked the 25th Anniversary of the hit film with the "World's Shortest Parade"  and a reunion of cast and crew members. 

Martha Smith, who played Babs summed up the event by saying "It's terrific, it's like going to a reunion where you actually like the people."

Animal House stars, Karen Allen, Tim Matherson, Martha Smith, James Widdoes, Stephen Furst, Mark Metcalf, John Vernon, Peter Riegert, Verna Bloom, Otis Day and Judy Belushi Pisano (wife of John Belushi) all were on hand for the event.

All the antics of Animal House are still fresh today as when it first came out in 1978.  Director John Landis sums up why he feels the film is so classic.  "I think that the movie captures that moment when you're out of the house.  You're not a child and not an adult and that sense of freedom for the first time. The picture is very romantic and I think that's why everyone relates to it." 

Animal House is a very romantic film for many of it's fans for such great things as popping zits, toga parities and food fights. What would these characters be up today? 

As part of the special DVD release director John Landis has the actors revisit their characters for a documentary special "Where Are They Now?" in which we get to catch up with the Animal House characters 25 years later...

"Revisiting the character again,  was like being on acid, it was so buzzer because it made you feel like yesterday." Tim Matheson mentioned who played Otter. 

Karen Allen who played Katy simply stated "It's was really fun, I had a blast doing it!"
